6 Great inventions by women

1. Medical syringe 
How many lives have been saved just because of "The medical syringe". But remember, it was invented by a woman Letitia Geer in 1899.

2. The computer algorithm
We all knows the importance of computer algorithm and programming for the modern world. The computer algorithm was invented by Ada Lovelace.  Charles Babbage ( Yes, the father of computing  ) at the University of London on his plans for an “analytic engine” to develop ways to program the machine with the mathematical algorithm, and it is known as "the first computer program".

3. The Computer Software
The first user-friendly business computer software program COBOL was developed by Dr. Grace Murray Hopper in the 1950s. In 1969, she was awarded the first ever Computer Science Man of the Year Award. In 1973, she became the first American and the first woman of any nationality to be made a Distinguished Fellow of the British Computer Society.

4. Wireless transmissions technology
We can't even imagine our online life without wi-fi, but it was not possible until Hedy Lamarr didn't invent a secret communications system during World War II for radio-controlling torpedoes employing “frequency hopping” technology.

5. Telecommunications technology
Dr. Shirley Jackson conducted breakthrough basic scientific research that enabled others to invent the portable fax, touch the tone telephone, solar cells, fiber optic cables, and the technology behind caller ID and call waiting. She was the first black woman to receive a Ph.D. from MIT in 1973.

6. Kevlar
The chemist Stephanie Kwolek invented the super-strong Kevlar fiber in 1965, which is used to make body armor, ranging from bicycle tires and much more. This fiber is five times stronger than steel.
