October 29, marked as World Internet Day

47 years ago on October 29 1969, The first internet ( ARPANET ) link was established between the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Stanford Research Institute. And This days is marked as world internet day.

Internet has become most essential and common part of daily life but it was not always the same. Because Internet were limited to researchers and academics before the development of the World Wide Web by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989. And that day is marked as Internaut day.

Internet is not complete with a website. The world's first website was introduced by British scientist Sir Tim Berners-Lee hosted on his NeXT computer at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), On December 20, 1990.

If we talk about internet traffic, 3.2 billion people were online, at the end of 2015. up from 3 billion in 2014. And Without a step change to current trends, over 3 billion people will remain offline by 2020, nearly all in developing countries.
