Youtube is now 97% encrypted - Isn't it a good news !

Google has announced that its video service Youtube is now 97 percent encrypted.

YouTube introduced HTTPS support two years ago, and in the last two years, company rolled out encryption using HTTPS to 97 percent of YouTube's traffic.

Company is not yet rolling out 100 percent encryption, and How long it'll take remains a mystery yet. Because according to company, some devices are unable to support modern HTTPS, and it hopes to “phase out insecure connections” over time "to keep YouTube users as safe as possible".

Company said that, volumes of traffic have increased from more devices than ever, and it's challenge for company. Company said “We found that HTTPS improved quality of experience on most clients."

Company is rolling out it to provide security to users because any non-secure HTTP traffic could be vulnerable to attackers. if you’re a developer that hasn’t yet migrated, get started today.
