Google Translator : Tap to Translate, Improved Offline Mode withFilipino language pack, Word Lens in Chinese

Good news for google translator users. Now you can use translator within any app to instantly translate text. And some big improvements.

First, Google has introduced Tap to Translate: Just copy the text and your translation pops up within any app. you will not have to switch between Google Translate and other apps. whichever app you’re using, and a translation will pop up right there.

Tap to Translate works for all 103 of Google Translate’s languages on any Android phone running Jellybean (4.2) and above.

Second, Translator offline Mode now works on iOS, and joins Android in using small offline packages. Google shrunk packages by 90 percent. And finally added a Filipino language pack, now total number of offline languages is 52 - and it works with Tap to Translate too.

Finally, google is adding Word Lens in Chinese, and it reads both to and from English, for both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. It's 29th language for instant visual translation - Ever Since it was first launched in 2015.
How Dose "Tap to Translate" works ?

These updates will be helpful for 500 million+ people who use Google Translate, more than 9 in 10 live outside the U.S. Google are rolling out over the next few days to all users.
